P4This is the end of what was a long, narrow biface that had a fluting type flake removed. In a sense, this is the distal fragment of an overshot flake. Both faces of the biface in Q2 have flake scars that are a result of this technique. Distal fragments like this one are fairly common on the North Slope and other places where there is an abundance of lithic material. |
